Hiring a complete stranger to hike and camp in the middle of the North Cascades with you and 2 of your closest friends to document your elopement takes more than a little bit of trust. All the pieces have to come together, and they did. K + D sought out a remote hike that would offer solitude from the city and a long enough approach to keep the swarms of techies from distracting from the landscape. Spending time in the mountains of the PNW always brings me joy. But having clients who say “we talked to so many photographers. You are literally the only one who could have done this hike and were willing to make all this happen” instills a different level of trust and brings a joy that is more difficult to express.
